REPORTS

The Treasurer reported that printing costs had gone up slightly.

Amjad had put forward a list of coaching aids for under 11’s.

Action: Steve to look into what was currently available and if anything new was to be purchased would report back.

Secretary

The Secretary reported that he had a call from Gildersome CC concerned that rumours were being circulated that Gildersome was about to fold. This was incorrect and Gildersome CC would be fielding a full compliment of junior teams along with 3 senior teams. He asked if there was anything the HWDJCL could do to disperse these rumours. Action taken pre meeting: The Secretary asked the Webmaster to put a notice on the home page telling readers of the correct situation at Gildersome CC

The ECB had now published a ruling on the use of Face masks worn by junior wicket keepers. Page 39 of the handbook had offered guidance to clubs on this issue but is superseded by this new ECB ruling.Action: Re-issue page 39 to all clubs.

Chairman

Bob Moore had agreed to act as Trophy Steward.

The chairman said he was fed up of appealing to clubs at Management Meetings with no response. The fining of non return or late return of trophies was fine but it still meant the need for somebody to sort the situation out as the trophies were still out at clubs.

Girls Cricket

The Girls section would now be fined as in the other age groups for any breeches of rules.

Result Secretary

The website had been fully updated and awaiting the start of the season.

Jordan at Alan Baxter’s should be thanked for his hard work and effort put into the publishing of the Handbook in such a short time. All agreed
