Reports

Treasurer

The Treasurer circulated an up to date statement. It was agreed to put £4,000 in to the Current Account with the remainder in a term deposit account. We were still awaiting the £5,000 Grant money.

£300 had been received from the collection at Charlie Fox’ funeral.

No payment had been received from Dewsbury Reporter.

Steve Holliday had incurred £46 travelling expenses for the various under 10 games he had organised.
All Agreed Steve to be reimbursed

Chairman

Re arranging of fixtures had been considerably better than in recent years a great improvement. There was still some instances of lack of communication from clubs though, one fixture had caused much work only to find that the game had in fact taken place.

The Chairman had had some complaints over the 50% rule and would bring this up for discussion at the post- Season Meeting.

The Girls had had an extended period to try and get as many fixtures played as possible. Teams entering a Girls team next season would be contacted to see if a specific day/night could be allocated to help with arranging these fixtures.

Holmfirth  were to be asked to join the League entering a Girls team.

Jack Lee Final was to be played at New Rover against the Aire-Wharfe League on September 6th, due to the this the Peter Snape Trophy is postponed to the 13th

Result Secretary

The Result Secretary had circulated a report on fines incurred for July
ALL Agreed

Secretary

The Secretary reported that there was confusion over the use of Wicket Keeping Faceguards, several companies were now marketing these and if current rulings from the ECB were to be adhered to they must have a British Kite mark on them.

AOB
The idea of the League operating a Lottery was to be discussed at the post -Season Meeting. It is hoped that money raised from this will help finance coaching for a wider number of the Leagues junior members       .

The question was raised as to why the League allowed A and B teams from clubs when other Local Leagues did not. It was also pointed out that at one match where a B  team was playing one particular player was playing under a different name to his own. Agreed that this topic should be discussed at the post- Season Meeting with member clubs.

George Newton had asked if Clifford Smith could be in some way acknowledged for his services to Cricket.
