REPORTS 

Secretary

 
The Secretary reported that due to the bad weather he had been informed that some of the junior football leagues were running fixtures into the middle of May and this in turn could affect some clubs.            

The Fixtures Secretary commented that if 2 clubs could agree under 13 matches held on a Sunday have the full day in which to stage the game so there was some leeway.

It is the Secretary’s intention to write to all clubs asking them at committee level to try and put volunteers forward to help in the running of the HWDJCL in particular to try and get an officer who could run the Presentation Evening.It was agreed that clubs who had a member active on the Executive should be named. All Agreed 

The Secretary reported that Hilary Smith the Registration Secretary was in poor health and in case she was unable to undertake this years registration matters Ann Seddon had offered to cover. 

It was agreed that Handbook distribution would be done at the Pre Season Meeting, at the latest. 

Until the Dales Council fixtures were published it was not possible to arrange the under 18 fixture dates. New Farnley would contact the Secretary when these were available. 

A discussion on the lack of communication from the Trophy Steward took place and the outcome was that the Chairman was contact Bob Moore to see if he was able to act as a Trophy Steward for the 2010 season.

 The Secretary reported that he was now getting correspondence from the YCB and two meetings were planned and that Steve Holiday and the Secretary would be attending. 

Chairman

The Chairman reported that all fixtures for all age groups were now complete.           

The Bradford Central junior league had not entered an under 13 team in this years Taverner fixtures. 

Treasurers Report

The Treasurer asked if he could bring £6,000 out of a fixed term account and place it in the current account as the interest rate was very poor. All Agreed

Ossett CC was the only club who still had outstanding fines. 

Result Secretary

The Result Secretary reported that the Handbook preparation was a mess as his computer had totally crashed, he had somebody helping sort it out but was only available at weekends so things were only slowly getting put right. The website was not being updated due to this problem.    

The Result Secretary was hopeful  that the Handbook would be ready to go to the printers by the first week in March but needed help in changing Word documents into PDFs Steve Holliday said he would ask at the University if anybody was able to do this. 

Child Welfare

The ECB had still not replied to CWO query on the kite mark issue on the new style wicket keeping helmets.  


Any Other Business

 The under 10 Academy Manager reported that the clothing issued to the players for the 2010 season would be self funding and could he purchase the relevant kit All Agreed
