Law 5 THE BALL
1.
The ball, when new, shall weigh not less than 5 1/2
ounces nor more than 5 3/4
ounces.
For an Under 13 Age Group match it shall weigh not less than 4 11/16
ounces nor more than
5 1/16 ounces.
2. The balls must be approved by the umpires.

The umpire should take possession of the ball in use at the fall of each wicket
and at the start of any interval, interruption in play and at the start of
stoppage for drinks.
The
ball should be given to the umpires by
the players without being asked.
