LEAGUE NEWS WATCH 
The Heavy Woollen league coaching programme, being  held  at Woodlands CC, has been adjusted to compensate for the blizzard conditions experienced on 5 January. The next U13/U12 coaching session is scheduled for 19 January and the last session is now scheduled for 16 March . The net outcome is that there will still be 5 sessions in all held on a fortnightly basis. The post-Xmas Development net coaching at Headingley starts up again on 25 January, for access and further information contact  Steve Holliday at steveholli@hotmail.co.uk  ONLY A FEW PLACES LEFT
Gomersal CC are organising a  twelve mile sponsored walk from Headingley to the Gomersal club house to raise money for their junior sections practice nets. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday 6 March 2010 commencing 10.30 am and will be  an adults only occasion  with stops planned at a number of public houses en-route to boost funds. Anyone interested in completing the walk or donating any sponsorship should contact Darryl Senior by e-mail at DSenior2@sky.com
Congratulations go to Andy Gale, former Heavy Woollen junior player, on being appointed the captain of the YCCC first team. Andrew first gained prominence playing  his junior cricket with Gomersal CC before going on to represent the League at Taverners level and gaining selection to Yorkshire Schools.
